This past summer, Jacob’s Place was the recipient of a $3000 grant from Answers for Autism. This grant was used to install new gym floor in Jacob’s Place. According to Kristine Barnett, founder of Jacob’s Place, the new floor will allow “kids to bounce and tumble and have tons of fun!” It will also allow Jacob’s Place to have Martial Arts classes for children with autism. Jacob’s Place martial arts classes are free and are taught by a champion instructor. Class is open to kids of all ages, teens and young adults on the spectrum.
